We are recruiting for an experienced and tenacious Motor Fleet Underwriter to join our Leeds based team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous Underwriting experience in Commercial Motor Fleet who strives to provide excellent customer service and understands what matters to our customers/brokers and how that fits with our plans and strategies!
A bit about the job:
Within this role, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable business whilst operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels. You will also develop, build, and strengthen relationships with aligned customers/brokers, providing technical support and assistance and dealing with all queries. You will use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer and work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate on more technical and complex risks.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Knowledge of insurance product features & processes
* Knowledge of underwriting – Commercial Motor Fleet
* Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills
* Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
* Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
