Credit Analyst - Flow
As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for the delivery of timely credit decisions within stated credit parameters and own underwriting authority with the ability to provide commercially balanced recommendations to colleagues where new business applications are above mandate.
Operating in the “Flow” deal area with a maximum ticket size of £250k and operating to an average Turnaround Time of 4 hours (from receipt of all necessary information to decision).
Dealing with a number of Business Units involving the underwriting of hard and soft assets from a variety of Introducers (including Vendors, Suppliers, Dealers, and Brokers).
Day to day:
Transactional Analysis
1. Analyse financial, asset, market, legal and contractual information.
2. Prepare credit write-ups as a sound basis for own decision-making or decision-making by senior risk.
3. Work closely with internal Sales and Inside sales teams to obtain required information on the deal and communicate decision.
4. Occasionally attend end user meetings/calls to complete due diligence.
Local Risk Committees
1. Advise, prepare and participate in local risk committees when appropriate.
2. When appropriate act as secretary to local risk committees.
Internal and Regulatory Compliance e.g., KYC
1. Ensure regulatory compliance at transaction level.
2. Act as a point of guidance to wider Operations/Commercial teams.
Measures:
1. Well-structured and rationalized credit decisions/recommendations.
2. Timely credit decisions supporting the total commercial value proposition.
3. Customer satisfaction – measured via Net Promoter Score surveys.
4. Compliance adherence.
5. Contribution to portfolio quality.
6. Contribution to team profile/culture.
Essentials:
1. Experience of underwriting/analysing transactions in a wide range of sectors within either a banking or asset finance business.
2. Organised and structured approach, whilst being comfortable working with short turnaround times.
3. Friendly and approachable member who is able to network and help encourage enthusiasm in colleagues, customers, and team members to reach a common goal.
4. Task-focused problem solver, able to manage and prioritise multiple requirements.
5. Willing to “go the extra mile” when required, via a flexible/adaptable approach to daily workload.
6. Able to articulate thoughts in a concise manner both verbally and in writing.
7. A team player, who is keen to build the Risk “brand.”
