Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust
Due to team expansion, we are looking to recruit a full-time dedicated and experienced administrator to join our friendly team based at Huntington House, Jockey Lane, York. We provide support to people living in the York and Selby area who are experiencing concerns with their memory.
If you have experience working in a demanding office environment, are confident in using IT systems, and have experience formatting letters and managing multiple diaries, we want to hear from you. We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy setting and is keen to join a team striving to make a real difference.
Main duties of the job
While having experience in an administrative role is essential, NHS or other healthcare experience is not required. We are looking for a colleague with a passion for helping, who believes in delivering excellent customer service, and has a keen interest in learning and working in a healthcare setting with a 'can do' attitude.
This role is at the heart of the multi-disciplinary team, meaning you will work closely with nurses, consultants, and management to ensure they have the administrative support needed to provide the best possible care to our patients. You should be comfortable multitasking, able to communicate confidently, build strong working relationships, prioritize your workload, and genuinely interested in understanding and supporting the challenges of mental health care.
Your main duties will include promoting compassionate care, booking assessment and diagnostic appointments, liaising via phone and written correspondence, formatting letters, and maintaining accurate confidential patient records. To be successful at shortlisting, please provide evidence of how you match this description, citing examples to reinforce your experience using your own words, not AI. If you do not have the essential qualifications to the required level, you must be prepared to undertake these and state this in your application.
