Job Description:
A leading global private equity infrastructure fund is seeking a Financial Controller for a 12-month maternity cover role.
The finance and operations team is a tight-knit group, and the incoming hire will replace the current Financial Controller, who is taking maternity leave this summer. To ensure a smooth transition, the firm is initiating this process early and targeting a September start date to allow for a comprehensive handover period.
This diverse role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the management company and its subsidiaries. Key responsibilities encompass financial reporting, tax compliance, forecasting and budgeting, treasury management, directorships, insurance, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Producing monthly reporting packs
2. Leading the seasonal audit process
3. Preparing the annual budget
4. Managing cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and treasury (including FX hedging)
5. Overseeing regulatory reporting
6. Supervising accounts payable and receivable processes
7. Reviewing tax returns
8. Supporting ongoing and upcoming projects
9. Enhancing internal processes wherever possible
Requirements:
1. Qualified accountant with approximately 3-5 years of PQE
2. Proven experience in a similar financial control role in a similar environment (private equity preferred but will consider wider asset management)
3. Must have the right to work in the UK and sponsorship is not available
The firm offers a competitive compensation package around £80-90,000, along with a completion bonus and access to a comprehensive benefits package. The firm supports a hybrid working environment.
