Job Summary
Auburn University Libraries is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant to assist faculty and staff with daily, routine library operations.

Essential Functions
* Scanning title page, title page verso, table of contents and covers for print materials and sending the PDF to the cataloger
* Scanning containers and disc surfaces for non-print materials
* Viewing DVDs and filling out a worksheet for video credits
* Creating item records, and attaching barcodes and sending materials to Physical Processing
* Sending barcodes to cataloger for reclass books
* Assisting with authority work
* Copying ad formatting tables of contents for e-books
* Searching external databases for cataloging records
* Other duties as assigned
* Report for the shift on time
* Interest in public service and delivery of quality customer service
* Be willing to work as a team member while interacting with faculty, staff, and students
* Possess strong interpersonal and communications skills
* Dependability, multi-tasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Detail oriented

Minimum Qualifications
* Currently enrolled student at Auburn University
* Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, balancing, hearing, handling objects with hands, and occasionally lifting
Pay Rate
$9.00/hour
Work Hours
Work hours are between 7:45am-4:00pm; Student will work up to 10 hours per week depending on availability and departmental needs.
