Band: 5
We are recruiting for Staff Nurses who share our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and have the drive to take us forward, ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Main duties of the job
We are a busy District General Hospital (DGH) serving the population of Medway and Swale, and Medway was the first Trust in Kent to achieve foundation trust status in April 2008. Our children's emergency department has an annual attendance of over 30,000 babies, children, and young people living locally.
The successful post holder will be expected to have an interest in caring for newborns and a drive to develop skills in the specialty of neonatology. The expectation will be that you proceed eventually to undertake the specialist training programme to enable you to care for those babies who require intensive care.
The post holder will take part in promoting Family Integrated Care and ensure that this is practiced at all times.
Our values are Bold, Every Person Counts, Sharing and Open, and Together. It is important that you understand and refer to our values when completing your application and always reflect our values throughout your employment with the Trust.
We are committed to endorsing diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion; our policies and procedures ensure that all applicants are treated fairly at every stage of the recruitment process.
