This role is for one of the biggest civils consultancies, they are currently looking for an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis to support the delivery of numerous projects all across the UK and internationally. This role is to be based in their Belfast office with flexible working. Job Description: Some of the main responsibilities for this role include: - Participate in the practice, fostering collaboration with colleagues, and commitment to the industry. - Technically lead multidisciplinary engineering teams. - Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals. - Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. - Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. - Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Requirements
- Chartered Discipline Specific (i.e., Mechanical, Civil, E&ICA) Engineer with strong experience track record. - Experience in design delivery, including coordinating with other disciplines in multidisciplinary design. - Experience leading a design team, business development and successful competitive tendering. - Engineer with sound problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, practical mind. - Take accountability and responsibility for work carried out by the individual or the team. - Work well with and form relationships with others, including the client team, other disciplines, and contractors at all levels (junior to senior) inside and outside the business. - Experience working with and negotiating with key project stakeholders, including regulatory, statutory, and local bodies. - Produce designs following CDM regulations. - Being different makes a difference - creative thought, qualitative reasoning, atypical problem-solving, pattern spotting, big-picture thinking, ability to multi-task or single-task focus.
