We are working in conjunction with our partner Rochdale Training Association to recruit for our next generation of engineers. We are seeking to recruit a number of Apprentice Design Engineers to join our dynamic and experienced team in Rochdale.
Wage
£14,526.20 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* Learn and develop to completion of design of automatic fire sprinkler systems
* Learn and develop to ensure designs meet the contract design brief and are inline with company standard and expectations
* Learn and develop to Identify/update & communicate design issues, i.e. drawing standards, non-conforming issues
* Learn and develop knowledge & understanding of LPC/BS EN 12845 Sprinkler rules NFPA and FM Global Datasheets along with associated hydraulic calculations such that the LPCB Basic Design Competence/Inspection Competence qualification can be obtained
* Learn and develop to for designs to be ‘checked’ on site (where appropriate) to verify pipe routes/avoid clashes etc.
* Using CAD and various design packages, create a site-specific construction mapped drawing to be used on site
* Work as part of the team to commission a project from start to finish
