As a GP Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Main duties of the job
* Greeting patients and visitors warmly and professionally
* Managing telephone and face-to-face inquiries, booking appointments, and handling cancellations
* Updating and maintaining patient records using our Emis software system
* Assisting patients with registration and any necessary paperwork
* Handling prescription enquiries and other administrative tasks
* Communicating effectively with medical staff and patients to ensure efficient service delivery
* Ensuring the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming
* Adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies

* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including some evenings and weekends as needed
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
Experience
* Experience of working in primary care
