The Systems Verification and Validation Leader will provide leadership for a Verification and Validation (V&V) team conducting V&V activities within NGUK Defence programmes. This role is part of the Engineering Leadership team, reporting to the V&V Manager. The NGUKL Defence Operating Unit covers a variety of Defence categories e.g. Command & Control, Maritime and Aerospace. Our UK Defence business is a Sovereign software and systems centre of excellence. As well as developing and supporting UK wide and internationally deployed multi-domain command and control systems, our work is critical to the modern backbone of the Royal Navy. Responsibilities: Produce and supervise the composition of plans and procedures for V&V activities. Conduct and report V&V Work packages and activities applying IADT methods. Ensure that Programme plans are realistic and are kept up to date with Engineering team. Conduct IVVTQ department communication e.g. via cascade meetings. Ensure the programme V&V teams are maintained with suitably qualified and experienced engineers, tools and practices. Drive team to implement industry best practice for engineering verification, validation and qualification. Comply with security requirements. Responsible for the V&V team adherence to design standards, methods, skills and competencies and processes & procedures. We are looking for: Degree or equivalent career experience in engineering discipline e.g. Systems Engineering, Verification & Validation Line Manager experience of a team of at least 5 over 2 years. Experienced in Software and Hardware testing experience of complex PLC based control systems, other complex HMI control systems MBSE/OOSE, capability delivery, or other concepts to supplement the traditional SE/IVVTQA approach. Natural problem solver, through RCA, develop solutions to a variety of problems, plan/implement remediation actions to resolution. Good attention to detail and understanding of the quality/maturity required to meet stakeholder needs. Good Technical English.
