About the Principal Civil Engineer role:
As the C&S team expands, the company you will be working for are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead large project teams or several smaller teams, enhancing the infrastructure capabilities of the growing Civil and Structural department.
In this position, the Principal Civil Engineer will ensure project teams deliver civil and structural designs that meet cost, schedule, and quality standards, while also ensuring they possess the right skills and resources.
The role will involve a strong focus on compliance with the business quality and management systems, along with contributing innovative ideas for implementing changes as directed by leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of C&S project teams.
Ensure adherence to the company's management system.
Support the broader development of the C&S department's capabilities.
Lead C&S design delivery for individual projects or multiple smaller projects, with assistance from an Associate Engineer or Director, across single- or multi-discipline teams.
Develop project programs and manage changes effectively.
Prepare tenders for projects of varying sizes, including fee estimates.
Conduct technical design reviews and critiques of ongoing projects.
Mentor, train, and support junior engineers to maximise their performance.

About the Candidate
Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer (CEng MICE/MIStructE).
Substantial experience in leading and managing teams.
Strong technical background in civil design.
CSCS Card holder.
SC clearance (or eligible).
Full, clean UK driving license.
