We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to work as part of our team in the Catering Department at Ludlow Community Hospital.
We are looking for a reliable, motivated and flexible individual with good communication and interpersonal skills suited to the special needs of a hospital environment along with a commitment to provide a high quality catering service and work as part of a team.

Main duties of the job
Working within a small team to maintain excellent standards of cleaning, wash up duties and preparation of sandwiches within the catering department.
* Preparation of tea/coffee trolleys for meetings.
* Preparation of sandwiches/vegetables, etc.
* Assist with deliveries and putting into store rooms.
* Maintaining high standards of PPE, COSHH, SCHT Guidelines, etc.
* Maintaining high standard of cleanliness of staff dining room.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Ability to demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Food Hygiene (level 2) certificate or the willingness to work towards within 12 months.
Experience
* Demonstrable previous commercial catering experience.
Knowledge and Skills
* General awareness of safety in the workplace.
* Ability to prioritise work.
* Good organisational skills.
