Workforce Personnel are seeking compassionate and experienced Care Workers to join our dedicated team, providing support to a variety of local residential and nursing homes in Bedfordshire and Central Bedfordshire. As a Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable people with a range of needs, including but not limited to, learning disabilities, mental health, and elderly people. Manual handling and personal care will play a huge part of the role while you aid in improving the quality of life for residents by offering personal care, social and emotional support, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities of a Care Worker:
* Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
* Support residents with medication management, following care plans and guidelines.
* Encourage and assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
* Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behaviour to senior staff.
* Ensure that all care records are accurate, up-to-date, and confidential.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents at all times.
* Assist in recreational activities and social engagement for residents.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a care environment as a Care Assistant or Support Worker for a minimum of six months in the UK.
* A genuine passion for providing care and support to vulnerable individuals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Skilled in following directions.
* Excellent writing proficiency.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Willingness to conduct mandatory training as a Care Assistant / Support Worker.
