My client is a global proprietary trading firm and is expanding their hedge fund business for 2025. They are looking to hire a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to help build out a new independent trading pod. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing platform that offers full autonomy over strategies and products, as well as access to market-leading infrastructure and quant-driven resources. They will consider independent hires or onboarding an existing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop & Execute Systematic Strategies: Lead the design, execution, and ongoing refinement of systematic fixed income strategies.
* Full Ownership: You will have complete autonomy over your strategies, trading approaches, and products.
* Build a New Team: Take on the challenge of building and leading a new independent pod.
* Risk & Return Management: Focus on achieving a strong return on capital with a realized Sharpe ratio between 1.5-2.0+.
* Collaboration: Leverage cutting-edge quant tools, collaborate with the core tech team, and contribute to the broader growth and success of the hedge fund business.
Key Qualifications:
* Proven Track Record: At least 5 years of experience in fixed income trading with a demonstrable track record, including strong returns on capital and a realized Sharpe ratio of 1.5-2.0.
* Systematic Strategy Expertise: Expertise in building and managing systematic strategies, including quantitative models, data-driven approaches, and automated trading techniques.
* Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to take full ownership of a trading pod, with a focus on innovation and risk management.
* Market Insight: In-depth knowledge of global fixed income markets and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
