As an experienced Programme/Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in successfully planning, executing, and closing medium to large-sized programmes. You will be responsible for leading project activities, ensuring deadlines are met, and facilitating effective communication among cross-functional teams. Your organisational skills, abilities, and attention to detail will be instrumental in delivering successful outcomes.
Our client is a global company, and their products, including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and accessories, can be found all over the world. They seek a Senior Automotive Programme/Project Manager EMEAI New Product Development (NPD).
This role is a long-term contract offering hybrid working and outside of IR35. The client is looking for someone from the specialist vehicle or automotive market.
Programme Manager Role:
1. Create and maintain program documentation for program planning, requirements analysis, risk management, issues management, status reporting, program communication, and quality assurance.
2. Coordinate and manage internal and external resources to accomplish program objectives, including change management.
3. Plan and direct medium to large programs to completion.
4. Manage program scope, cost, timeline, integrated schedules, EVM (cost, schedule, and materials), and risk assessment.
5. Accept and delegate authority, establishing priorities for work delegated to others.
6. Monitor product quality and process control and suggest improvements as needed.
7. Coordinate communication between suppliers, customers, and team members (e.g., Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Assembly, Service, Testing, Quality Control, and Marketing departments) as needed.
8. Develop, prepare, and present briefings to both executive management and the customer related to program status, direction, marketing, and performance.
9. Provide senior leadership and manage the direction of cross-functional teams, ensuring communication and cooperation among team members and resolving areas of conflict.
10. Prepare and present program status/issues to internal and external customers.
11. Identify and coordinate all program scope change requests for approval.
12. Work with contract management to meet requirements of the contract.
13. Participate in program proposal writing efforts.
Programme Manager Requirements:
Essential:
1. Bachelor’s degree in programme/project management or an engineering-related field.
2. 8+ years of related work experience.
3. PMP (or equivalent) Certification.
4. Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills.
Desired:
1. Experience with Workday or specifically Workday Programs time entry module.
2. Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills.
