Transpennie Amey is working in partnership with Network Rail on the Transpennie route upgrade project since 2018, with an increased focus on providing reliable, frequent, faster, and greener railways to the North of England. Covering 76 miles of railway between Manchester, Leeds, York, Selby and onto Humberside, we lay the foundations, covering upgrades to civils, track, railway systems and electrification to the west of Leeds. By completing such works, we aim to support Network Rail with cutting carbon emissions and ensuring to deliver a smoother, more enjoyable journey to their customers. As an Commercial Graduate your every day will be different One day, you assist with maintaining Worksite Submissions Tracker, another day you will be assisting with maintaining TRU Engineering Trains Master Tracker with new, amended, and cancelled engineering trains and tampers. You will be also involved in creation periodical SCO register with all train and tamper additions and cancellations, and amendments with commercial impact in preparation for meeting with commercial team, as well as creating and submitting LACR / CRF for worksite / possession changes as required · Assist with submissions of any new worksites into the Network Rail access planning system (PPS) that are required post CPPP publication. Key Responsibilities: Short term (key tasks required from day 1 in the role) Assist in issuing weekly call off orders to contingent labour suppliers based on agreed rosters Assist in actioning any updates / amendments required to previous orders weekly Assist with updating subcontract management tracker sheets as a live document with orders sent out, applications received and payments made Assist in reviewing applications for payment from suppliers on a 4 weekly basis including timesheet and rate checks Long term Assist in improving processes Mid term Manage purchase order values in line with expected spends Ensure Alliance procurement authority notices are submitted and up to date for each supplier What We Need From You: As a Graduate, other than your relevant degree, we don’t expect you to bring prior experience with you when you join us; we will give you all the skills and opportunities. We therefore keep our list of essential requirements to a minimum, but there are a few things needed to qualify for our programme: Civil Engineering, Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying 2.2 Degree minimum.
