Job Description: Deputy Manager (Children's Home) – Billinge Position: Deputy Manager Location: Billinge Salary: £34,992 per annum We are a specialist Children's care home staffing provider our client is a compassionate and dedicated residential home, committed to providing exceptional care for neurodivergent children (SEN) and learning disabilities (LD). Our aim is to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. As Deputy Manager, you will play a vital leadership role, supporting the Registered Manager to ensure the home operates effectively and meets the highest standards of care. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Support: Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. Team Supervision: Provide guidance and support to the staff team, encouraging professional development and maintaining a positive workplace culture. Child Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and welfare of the children, responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and adhering to policies. Care Planning: Help to create and implement personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child. Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of care and compliance, preparing the home for inspections and audits. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records and produce required reports to ensure effective communication and accountability. Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and children’s home regulations. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification. A genuine passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their potential. Desirable: A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it). Experience working with neurodivergent children or those with SEN/LD.
