Contract Duration: Temporary until 10/01/2027
There are up to 6 positions available, both full time and part time working considered.
NOTE: The start date for these positions will not commence prior to 1 April 2025
Role Purpose
Working with young people within a residential setting in the Scottish Borders. This is a role that will be essential to the development of a new service requiring individuals to be able to adapt to change and implement new procedures.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing support in a relevant professional area.
2. Coordinating the provision of support roles.
3. Providing advice, assistance, and support to young people.
4. Acting as an appropriate role model for young people and addressing any difficulties to help them achieve their optimum potential.
5. Being aware of the aims and objectives of Lowood and the area of work, and working collaboratively with colleagues and others.
Essential Qualifications
1. HNC/SVQ 3 Social Services Children and Young People or equivalent.
2. SSSC Registration within 6 months of taking up the post.
3. A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
