As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will be the champion of our volunteer culture, ensuring every volunteer has a fulfilling and rewarding experience. Your key responsibilities will include: Develop and Coordinate Volunteer Operations : Lead and inspire volunteers across YMCA Norfolk and within the communities we serve. Recruitment and Induction: Be the face of our volunteer program, managing the recruitment process, conducting interviews, and welcoming new volunteers with enthusiasm. Support and Guidance: Provide expert advice to service managers and ensure volunteers are well-supported, trained, and aligned with our mission and values. Engagement and Retention: Create buzz around volunteering through exciting engagement activities, recognition schemes, and dynamic marketing campaigns. Training and Development: Empower volunteers with the training, resources, and support they need to thrive. Develop and deliver fun and engaging reward and recognition activities. What you’ll need to succeed You'll be a highly skilled communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of different stakeholders, being able to adapt your communication style for your audience as required. You'll have experience of administration and HR practices, and whether or not you have experience in the voluntary sector already, you'll be passionate about the benefits of volunteering for both our volunteers and the organisation. You'll need to have a full drivers license and your own transport so that you are able to travel and meet organisations and volunteers as necessary.
