We are recruiting for a Payroller to join a thriving finance and administration team at a multi-site retail business, supporting payroll operations across weekly and monthly schedules. The Role As a Payroller, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance for all employees on both a weekly and monthly payroll. Reporting to the Financial Accountant and Payroll Manager, you will manage end-to-end payroll processes, address queries, and maintain accurate records. Key Responsibilities Prepare and process weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring all deadlines are met. Submit accurate returns to HMRC and manage statutory deductions such as pensions, tax, and national insurance. Monitor and calculate payments for SMP, SSP, SAP, bonuses, holiday pay, and dividends. Prepare BACS runs and raise cheques where necessary. Support year-end audits and provide data for National Statistics forms. Maintain payroll/HR records with accuracy and confidentiality. Answer employee queries and liaise with HMRC as required. What We’re Looking For Proficiency in payroll processes, with familiarity in basic payroll legislation. Excellent numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency. Strong communication skills and the ability to work accurately to deadlines.
