We are seeking to appoint a dedicated member of staff to provide administrative support to the Curriculum, Assessment and Teaching team. This will include maintaining accurate files and records of students, liaising with parents and outside agencies, and supporting the administration of examinations. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting students and their families.
The Curriculum, Assessment and Teaching team has responsibility for the following areas of work in the school:
1. Development of the curriculum.
2. Support for SEND students. Leaders provide strong support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). This is because specialist staff accurately assess and identify their needs. Teachers and teaching assistants are skilled in adapting tasks for these pupils so that they can keep up with their peers.
3. Providing excellent and enjoyable learning for all students through a broad and balanced knowledge-based curriculum.
4. Employing a 'top-down' approach, thinking about what students need to know to access top universities, high-quality apprenticeships, and good careers.
5. Delivering the curriculum using simple, effective, and research-driven teaching, with a particular focus on closing the gap between disadvantaged students, students with SEND, and other students.
JMHS was inspected by OFSTED in November 2022 who confirmed our good grading and whose comments included:
1. Pupils behave well. They are polite to their teachers and considerate of their peers.
2. Parents rate teachers' high expectations because they push pupils to do more. Many say teachers go 'above and beyond' for their children.
