On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with the hire team, assisting in all aspects of operating a busy hire office. Your responsibilities as a hire controller will include:
1. Responding to customer enquiries
2. Maximising company sales
3. Answering the phone and responding to emails
4. Dealing with all hire processes including hire contracts, exchanges, and breakdowns
5. Updating our Hire and CRM systems
6. Generally helping run the bustling hire office
If you are successful in securing the role as a hire controller, you will receive a comprehensive company induction and training program, and we will support your career progression within the business. In return, we are looking for a hire controller who demonstrates several key skills, including:
* Experience in staying organised
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong IT/computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, although full training will be provided on our hire system
* Ability to work as part of a team supporting your colleagues
* Flexibility in your approach, being self-motivated to take initiative while also being eager to learn and develop new skills
* Effective administration, organisation, and planning skills, with an eye for detail
* Ideally, experience working in the industry as a hire controller
The successful candidate will have:
* Existing knowledge of Plant Hire Control within a similar business
* Company pension scheme
