This opportunity has been created within the design management function of a privately owned main contractor with a proven track record of delivering affordable new build residential schemes within London & the South East. Their office is in East London and they operate a hybrid model split between time in the office and on site.

Description

As the Senior Design Manager you will play a key role through all construction activity. You will be involved across client reporting, design coordination, and engagement with the build team. Your key responsibilities will be:

* Managing the design process using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise
* Leading all client interaction, specifically focused on clear reporting, design programme management, and change control procedures
* Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate
* Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales
* Striving to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
