Job Title: Engineering Delivery Manager

Salary: Up to £75,000 depending on skills and experience
\n
\n
What you’ll be doing:
\n
\n
* Developing, maintaining and delivering an engineering development strategy for the project using the principles of incremental and agile development
\n
* Creating a supportive and collaborative team working environment, this includes people manager responsibilities
\n
* Owning the engineering budgets, ensuring adherence to the schedule and the quality of the product designed, making sure it is fit for purpose and compliant with customer requirements
\n
* Assessing engineering risks and developing mitigation strategies
\n
* Developing and maintaining the Engineering Management Plan describing all aspects of engineering work for the programme, including programme tailoring
\n
* Supporting the development of subcontracted items, developing and implementing a collaborative strategy to ensure they are successful
\n
* Owning the ‘Design Fors’ with focus on design for Life, including manufacturing, testing, reliability and maintainability
\n
* Facilitating and making technical decisions for the project, identifying and trading the various factors involved
\n
* Utilising Maturity Management to validate the correctness of work being produced by the team
\n
\n
Your skills and experiences:
\n
Essential
\n
\n
* Demonstrable experience leading a team in at least one key Engineering discipline (ideally having performed a cross functional team leading role)
\n
* Technical knowledge within Electronic Systems. Avionics, Rail, Medical or Automotive industries would be ideal
\n
* Proven experience managing the costs for the engineering work within the allocated budget
\n
* Degree qualified in Engineering
\n
\n
Desirable
\n
\n
* Experience articulating engineering strategy and motivating teams
\n
* Demonstrable experience managing and mitigating risks utilising specific techniques for engineering projects
\n
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng)
\n
\n
