A stunning B&I location in Milton Keynes for a UK-based building materials supplier, catering to approximately 50-100 people daily. We offer breakfast, lunch, and a coffee bar along with lots of hospitality. The role operates Monday to Friday with the additional benefit of free parking on site, from 7am - 3.30pm.
We are looking to hire an experienced Chef Manager to join the operation at one of our prestigious locations in Milton Keynes.
Role Summary:
* Lead the catering team in the day-to-day production and service of the member and staff dining facilities.
* Liaise with the centre in delivering internal or external hospitality events.
* Deliver both the client-agreed budget and the company annual budget.
* Develop and implement dining and hospitality facilities, ensuring quality food and customer service.
* Prepare monthly and annual Profit & Loss Operating Statements.
* Manage day-to-day operations of all catering facilities throughout the year.
* Motivate staff to meet standards and requirements.
* Engage with members and clients to ensure their needs are met.
* Deliver food services operations as directed by the Operations Manager.
* Create an environment emphasizing motivation, teamwork, and a passion for service.
* Provide excellent food and customer service, responding proactively to customer needs.
* Ensure age-appropriate food is available, adhering to dietary requirements.
* Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all departments.
* Ensure compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
* Maintain service standards in all dining areas.
* Be knowledgeable about Clients' Safeguarding, Health & Safety, and reporting procedures.
* Conduct effective induction and development plans for staff.
* Support rehabilitation activities as required by the centre.
* Undertake reasonable duties related to the effective operation of commercial areas.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in delivering excellent food standards.
* Hands-on experience as a Catering Manager.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients and achieve goals.
* High level of communication skills (reading, writing, oral, and listening).
* Proven customer service skills and achievements.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage a team and motivate for high performance.
* Flexibility to work according to business needs.
* Good understanding and use of verbal and written English.
* Experience in a customer and/or food preparation environment.
* Recognized cooking qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent).
