Are you an ambitious Sales Engineer or Business Development Manager with a knowledge of the machine tool industry? This could be the perfect opportunity for you. JOB SCOPE: As a Machine Tool Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities within the Machine Tool industry, building strong customer relationships, and exceeding sales targets for their portfolio of machine tool products. A strong-level candidate will have a good understanding of industrial machine tools and the challenges faced by machine builders, system integrators as well as machine shop end users. You will leverage your technical expertise to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and ensure successful product implementation. You will be responsible for covering the South-East and South-West areas of the UK market. CORE WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday (08:30 AM until 17:00 PM) and Friday (08:30 AM until 15:00 PM) – Hours are flexible depending on diary and individual schedules. COMMISION STRUCTURE: 5% of order value for new customers, and 2% of order value for existing customers. PACKAGE: Company vehicle provided. Mobile phone and laptop provided, and access to a company expense account. Company pension contribution of 5%. 25 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays (33 days all together). PERSON REQUIREMENTS: A background within Engineering/CNC machining is required at some level, whether that be time-served, a junior engineer with a few years’ experience, or a young engineer fresh out of an apprenticeship. You will ideally have some experience within business-to-business sales, ideally within the machine tool or industrial machinery industry. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a technical sales environment. (If experienced) An understanding of industrial machine tools, their safety protocols, and common operational challenges. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers at all levels. Ability to translate technical information into clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel
