Our client, a commercial stage biotech with operations in the UK and the US, now seeks a patent attorney to support and help lead on all IP issues globally from thier UK based headquarters.
Reporting to the US based VP for IP, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's global IP portfolio, including IP strategy, supporting business development and R and D transactional activities, performing relevant diligence and risk mitigating activities and managing contentious matters.
You will be a fully qualified patent attorney (ideally UK and European but potentially part qualified in one) with several years relevant experience. You will have a background in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or Biological sciences and have worked in practice and or in-house. The role can either hire at Director level, or, below for the right type of candidate who is able to work and communicate effectively in a developing mid sized organisation.
The role requires office attendance (the R and D team are based in Oxford as well as the head of BD and the GC) but can consider some flexible/hybrid working options if required.
