Job Title: Night Shift Switchboard Operator
Location: Brighton and Haywards Heath
Hours: Night Shifts (22:00 - 08:00), up to 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: 6 months
Availability: Flexible schedule with shifts on any night of the week. Must be prepared to work on short notice.
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Switchboard Operator to join our team on night shifts. This position requires someone who can manage and route calls with professionalism, remain calm under pressure, and provide excellent customer service during overnight hours. You will be stationed across two sites: Brighton and Haywards Heath, and your shifts may vary between these locations based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer and route incoming calls promptly and professionally
Provide accurate information to callers or redirect them to appropriate departments
Monitor and manage call logs and any relevant records
Ensure excellent communication and coordination with other team members as needed
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a switchboard, reception, or similar role is advantageous
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Availability to work night shifts (10 PM to 8 AM) across any night of the week
Willingness to work at short notice if required
Reliable transportation to work at either Brighton or Haywards Heath locations
