We are looking to expand our team with a passionate and driven mid-level Sales / Directorial Rep who shares our love for storytelling through film and has the skills and know-how to bring new opportunities to FORM.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who has a deep understanding of the filmmaking process, with a strong network within the advertising industry. You’ll be responsible for managing relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and playing a key role in FORM’s growth under the management of Jonathan & Dave (Managing Partners). The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for creative talent, a great understanding of industry trends, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, from directors to agency decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learn the ins and outs of each director’s portfolio to ensure that you can expertly match their work to the right projects.
2. Develop a deep understanding of their unique strengths, style, and capabilities, becoming a trusted resource for clients.
Talent Scouting:
1. Working with Managing Partner Dave, you will keep an active eye for new and emerging directors who could complement our talent offering.
2. Monitor industry trends and adjust your approach accordingly.
3. Create bespoke reels that showcase our directors’ talents in alignment with specific client needs and sales opportunities.
4. Tailor reels and other materials for pitch meetings, client responses, and brief submissions.
Relationship Building:
1. Working with Managing Partner Jonathan, establish and maintain strong relationships with advertising agencies, brands, and other key stakeholders.
2. Network actively to expand your industry contacts and stay connected with existing relationships.
Sales Strategy Development:
1. Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective sales strategies that help FORM expand its reach and client base.
2. Engage with clients to understand their needs and position FORM’s directors and work as the solution.
Client Engagement:
1. Organize and host screenings, presentations, and other client-facing events to showcase directors’ work.
2. Attend meetings and presentations, sometimes at short notice, to engage with potential clients or directors.
Social Media, PR & Marketing Support:
1. Collaborate with the team to help with social media strategy and execution.
2. Provide support for PR efforts, helping to build FORM’s brand presence across industry channels.
Must Have Qualifications:
1. Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the film/advertising industry, ideally with a strong network of contacts within advertising agencies, brands, and production companies. Proven track record in sales, business development, or talent management within a similar setting.
2. Passion for Filmmaking: A genuine passion for filmmaking within the advertising space and an understanding of the creative process from both the client and director’s perspective.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be a natural networker who thrives in social settings. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to pitch effectively to clients.
4. Keynote Skills: Strong proficiency in Keynote to create engaging presentations and compelling pitch decks.
5. Location: Though this is a fully remote role, you must be based in the wider London area to facilitate in-person meetings, lunches, and events with clients or directors at short notice.
6. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
