What is the opportunity?
As Manager Sustainability Reporting, reporting to the Head of ESG, Europe, you will support all RBC platforms in Europe with project management, analysis, reporting, communications, quantitative and qualitative research. You will perform an integral role in helping RBC prepare ESG-related disclosures to satisfy regulatory requirements in the UK and EU. You will help to prepare reports on our sustainability strategy and performance and build strong relationships with regional ESG reporting leaders and enterprise ESG disclosure teams. You will play an active role in the project management of key reports and administrate ESG reporting working groups. You will develop strong internal business and functional partner relationships to foster greater understanding of key disclosures and emerging trends.
What will you do?
* Provide project management support for RBC European entity CSRD disclosures, with particular focus on the documentation of project methodologies, actions, decisions, and outcomes to meet the limited assurance requirements.
* Provide project management support for RBC WME climate-related disclosures as required under the FCA.
* Assist in the co-ordination and administration of a number of ESG reporting working groups across multiple RBC entities in Europe, and to provide secretariat support.
* Contribute to the development of project documentation including status reports and steering committee packs, provide quality assurance on content.
* Assist in the co-ordination of the auditor review process throughout the delivery of CSRD and other ESG disclosures.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of governance and process guidelines for European ESG reporting.
* Build and maintain a network of internal contacts (RBC Group-level) to share best practice, key learnings, and opportunities for development.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
* Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, business or sustainability designation.
* Work experience in sustainability reporting and disclosure experience with preference for experience in a financial institution.
* Understanding of ESG-related regulatory and voluntary frameworks such as SDR, CSRD, TCFD, SASB, GRI, etc. and relevant ESG reporting and disclosure expectations and trends.
* Understanding of project management and associated routines, tools and templates.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong project management skills and experience.
* Strong interpersonal skills; specifically able to act as change agent, facilitator, and collaborator.
* Demonstrated passion and interest in driving environmental and social change through business.
* Ability to inspire with humility, empathy and inclusivity.
Nice to have
* Master’s degree or equivalent in finance, business or sustainability designation.
* Strong understanding of regulatory disclosure requirements.
* Solid understanding of financial institutions, including all facets of RBC’s business and other activities with strong business acumen.
