Role Overview
This exciting role involves working within Empower’s highly regarded community Outreach Team covering Somerset, Devon, and Bristol. You will support children, families, and carers within the community and during times of crisis, assisting with daily routines, providing mentor support, and helping young people and families work through challenges.
By joining our bank team, you can also choose to work and cover shifts in our services and support our Foster Carers, experiencing a variety of support roles such as helping in hospitals, conducting supervised contact, or supporting young people in building confidence.

Experience working with or caring for children and young people is preferred but not mandatory; our team is friendly and supportive, guiding you every step of the way.
Additional Information
This is a community-based role requiring travel to visit children, young people, carers, or the office. Therefore, driving and access to a car with business insurance are essential.
Important: This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks. The successful candidate will need to pay upfront for the DBS check, which will be refunded after completing 100 hours of work. Applicants must declare any unfiltered convictions, cautions, reprimands, or warnings as per the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended).
