Job Purpose: To manage the Facilities department's day-to-day operations, in relation to UK based buildings and premises. Ensuring all UK offices operate effectively and efficiently, creating an appropriate environment for staff and visitors. The person will be required to support, coordinate and assist in the management of health and safety, including liaison with external H&S consultants Key Responsibilities: Plan and manage hard and soft services: building and grounds maintenance, cleaning catering and vending, health and safety, procurement and contract management, security (ID badges), space management and utilities Direct, coordinate and plan maintenance requirements (PPM, Reactive and Emergency) Appoint and manage contractors and maintenance teams to carry out their duties Monitor and manage contractors, ensuring that they provide services in accordance with their Service Level Agreements and lead on improvement Manage the reception teams across all UK sites Investigate the availability and suitable options for new premises Plan the best allocation and utilisation of space and resources for current premises Ensure UK premises meet health and safety requirements and that the premises comply with legislation (Risk Assessments, Fire, First Aid) Manage all employee (office and field) Health and Safety inductions, assessments and Occupational Health requirements Participate in audits as appropriate Establish and manage the furniture asset register Manage the facilities overhead budget and additional project related budgets Position Requirements Solid experience in an Facilities Manager role or similar IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certificate or equivalent BIFM/IWFM Diploma (Level 4 or above) Practical, flexible and innovative approach to work Negotiation skills Teamwork skills with the ability to lead and motivate others Kyowa Kirin International is an equal opportunities employer.
