Flourish Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support within a Key Stage 1 class in a Primary School in Kings Norton. This Teaching Assistant role involves performing small group intervention phonics sessions, using the Read, Write, Inc. scheme. This role would be a long-term, full-time position starting ASAP and continuing until the end of the academic year. The responsibilities of this Teaching Assistant position, include:
Supporting the Class Teacher in a Year 1 classroom.
Delivering small-group interventions using Read Write Inc where required.
Assisting with the planning and preparation of engaging lessons.
Providing one-to-one support for students who need additional help.
Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting the emotional and social development of pupils.
Collaborating with the Class Teacher and SENCO to meet individual student needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK Primary School .
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum and Key Stage 1 (KS1).
Read Write Inc training is desirable.
Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
