An enthusiastic individual is sought for this part-time (0.4 FTE) post to assist with data analysis for a NERC (UK) funded research project on Amazonia’s Safe Operating Space.
You will support Prof. Jos Barlow with data management and other activities for the research project. Tasks include the validation and curation of data collected by field teams. You will also be required to assist with the organisation of project meetings, travel between partners in Brazil and the UK, writing project updates and collating information on impacts and project expenditure. Fieldwork in the Amazon is also possible, depending on experience and the project needs.
You will have experience in ecological data analysis and data management. You will join a friendly research team, and you should have excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills and demonstrate a strong team-work ethic. Knowledge of Portuguese is essential.
