Job Title: Design Engineer (Automation & Controls)

This role is perfect for a professional with expertise in AutoCAD Electrical, PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, and a solid understanding of industrial networks such as Profibus or Profinet. Key Responsibilities:
You will be required to use AutoCAD Electrical to generate the following:
* Control panel layouts and BOMs
* LV distribution and cable calculations
* Electrical schematic and wiring diagrams
* Instrument loop diagrams
* PLC wiring diagrams and I/O schedules
* Machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments to BS EN ISO 13849/60261
* Technical documentation
You will be:
* Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems
* Overseeing the build process within the workshop from concept to completion and conducting on-site visits for installation and commissioning
Required Skills & Experience:
* Experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming
* Good understanding of industrial communication networks such as Profibus and Profinet
* Knowledge of Siemens PLCs preferred, but experience with other leading systems will be considered (training provided)
* Experience with safety system design and programming is highly advantageous
* Able to understand electrical drawings
* Experience working in an engineering environment
