Vickerstock are working in partnership with a food manufacturing firm on the appointment of a Inventory Planner. As a Inventory Planner. you will have mixed responsibility for planning and scheduling production activities, managing raw material and finished goods inventory, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal production flow. Starting salary up to £30k (negotiation possible) Employee discounts Life insurance Company pension Development opportunities In your new role: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets. Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production plans with the production team. Monitor and work with the Purchasing dept to manage raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory levels. Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts, identifying and addressing discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records. Review sales forecasts and analyse historical demand data to generate accurate production forecasts. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline production planning and inventory management processes. Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and stock movements in the ERP or inventory management system What you will need to succeed: Two years experience in food manufacturing (FMCG also considered) Analytical skills with the ability to deal with high volumes of data Clear and confident communication skills.
