Complex Healthcare Assistants and Mental Health Care Assistants are required to work within Greater Manchester. Previous experience with caring for and supporting individuals who have complex needs such as supporting service users with Catheter care, Stoma care, Parkinson's, and Dementia is preferred, however, is not essential as full training will be provided along with support from Complex Care Staff, our dedicated and experienced Management Team and our On-Call Support Team. Non-drivers are welcome to apply for this post. Drivers' essential role will be offered to car drivers, so the Health Care Staff can assist the Service Users with activities within the community.
A guide to shift times is:
Day’s (08:00-15:00 / 15:00-22.00 / 08:00-22:00 / 07:30-20:00)
Waking Nights ( 22.00-08:00 / 19:30-08:00)
Responsibilities of a Complex Healthcare Assistant & Mental Health Care Assistant
To care for and support individuals with a person-centered approach within their own home, and to enable the individual you support to access the community.
To promote independence when supporting individuals within their own homes.
Assistance with personal care will be required for individual that you are supporting.
Assistance with food preparation.
Assistance with moving and handling for those with limited abilities once training is complete.
Administration of medication once training and medication competency are complete.
Experience with Gastrostomy sites is desirable, however, full training will be provided.
Experience with assisting in physiotherapy is desirable, however, full training will be provided.
Experience with Catheter care is desirable, however, full training will be provided.
Senior Support Workers will have added responsibilities, which may include supporting Managers and Lead Support Workers with care plans and supervision.
