FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join our Street Lighting division. As our Yard Operative you will be responsible for issuing and receiving materials from the yard and ensuring all stock levels are maintained. This is a permanent, full time position from our West Drayton depot however, travel to other depots will be required. The duties of the Yard Operative role will include: Undertaking daily checks and maintenance schedule of the yards plant Ensuring the security of the yard and stores, together with the welfare of those using the yard and stores Using FM Conway's electronic goods buying/good receipting system Receiving and checking all deliveries from suppliers and place in the appropriate location and report any discrepancies Carrying out daily defect checks of all yard activities and reporting any defects immediately Working with the Yard Store Supervisor to ensure yard vehicles are used only if there is supporting and valid certification What skills and experience do you need? We are looking for a Yard Operative who has strong IT skills and good working knowledge of building materials. You will have experience of working within a stores environment ideally within the construction industry. To be considered for this Yard Operative role you must have a full UK driving license. A forklift license and experience would also be an advantage. What benefits will you receive?
