An exciting opportunity has arisen at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust within the ICT Department.
To lead successful programme/project management of ICT led projects which support the delivery of patient care.
To lead and manage the successful implementation of ICT programmes and projects that impact the Trust, against agreed project plans to time and within constraints.
Provide professional programme and project management to the Trust to assist departments with the delivery of applications, systems and technology solutions that realise benefits for patients and the Trust.

Main duties of the job
1. Lead and manage the successful implementation of digital programmes and projects that impact the Trust (typically with timescales significantly in excess of six months, affecting 1500 plus Trust staff) against agreed project plans to time and within constraints.
2. Identify, build and manage large multifunctional teams of both technical and non-technical staff (often consisting of 30-50 project staff) in line with Trust procedures and best practice.
3. Set strategy for programme delivery ensuring alignment of project deliverables with strategic goals.
4. Work with the Digital Nurse Specialists to identify programme benefits and ensure their delivery through specific projects.
5. Manage the dependencies and interfaces between projects to ensure their successful delivery in line with strategic objectives.
6. Provide professional programme and project management to the Trust to assist departments with the delivery of applications, systems and technology solutions that realise benefits for patients and the Trust.
7. Apply expert digital knowledge and operational experience to the deployment of digital solutions.
8. Produce and maintain the formal documentation required throughout the programme and project lifecycle including the production of policies and procedures.

Job responsibilities
1. Participate in system procurements, including drafting of procurement documentation and supplier evaluations.
2. Develop and maintain strong communications links with key stakeholders, including Programme and Project Boards, reporting programme performance, conveying complex issues and negotiating desired outcomes.
3. Work flexibly as a member of the Digital management team to ensure the Directorate delivers a high-quality customer focused service.
4. Liaise with counterparts in other Trusts, health communities and elsewhere to assist in the provision of Digital services where patient care is delivered across multiple locations and agencies.
5. Identify the impact and support the operational change management resulting from the implementation of new digital systems across the Trust.
6. Conduct technical digital based investigations and impact assessments on supplier products and implementation plans.
7. Manage supplier relationships by establishing robust communications channels with supplier project managers to ensure timely product delivery and fitness for purpose.
8. Participate in and play a lead role as required in local/ regional and national implementation forums to ensure the spread of best practice.
9. Manage programme and project risks and issues, mitigating them as far as possible and escalating them to the Programme/ Project Board as required.
10. Provide direct line management responsibility for substantive and project staff in line with Trust policies and best practice.
11. Deputise for the Head of Digital Programmes as required.
