The South West Cleft Service, based at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston, is looking for a detail-oriented Data Administrator to support our multi-disciplinary team.
As a service, we are required to submit clinic and outcome data to the national Cleft database (CRANE), as well as the Specialised Services Quality Dashboard on a regular basis. This postholder will be responsible for the accurate collection, input, and analysis of this data in addition to other role requirements. This will include liaising with patients and families in the service to maintain accurate records.
This role is ideal for someone who is methodical, enjoys working with data, and is especially confident in using Excel.

The role is responsible for data management best practice, data quality standards, data security and protection, data hygiene, data import and export, and data analysis.
Main duties include:
• Managing the CRANE database within the SW Cleft Service
• Promoting the use of the CRANE database and providing training and support for members of the team.
• To liaise with patients and families to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
• To promote best practice and ensure accurate data collection and input.
• To ensure that digital systems and processes within the department are consistently reviewed and improved.
• To produce ad hoc reports for members of the SW Cleft Service, as agreed by the Performance and Operations Manager.
