Job overview
Do you hold current registration with NMC, HCPC or GPhC? If so, further opportunities have become available to join our growing team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) working across University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB).
Practitioners registered with any of the regulatory bodies stated above, who hold the relevant qualifications, meet the application criteria and are motivated, flexible and experienced with a demonstrable passion for clinical practice are invited to apply.
We are looking for a Qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner with experience of managing acute presentations in Oncology and Haematology.
The practitioner must be flexible as the role will require cross-site working and working in our assessment unit, chemotherapy units, radiotherapy, inpatient areas, and outpatient areas.
Main duties of the job
Advanced Clinical Practice is well established at UHDB and is seen as integral to the delivery of high quality and safe patient care across the Trust. You could be joining an extremely progressive team which continues to develop to meet the needs of our patients.
Training will involve supporting you to become an advanced, skilled, generic practitioner with transferable skills, and as such, you will be required to be flexible to meet the needs of service. Trained ACPs will also have the opportunity to discuss rotations within the role.
As the Trust strives to provide standardised care to all patients admitted across a seven-day period, you will be required to be available to work a full pattern of shifts including weekends and nights. Cross-site working is established within our ACP team and therefore you should be willing to work across both the RDH and QHB sites.
Shift patterns will vary depending upon the area of practice at any given time as care is centred on the service requirements.
Working for our organisation
As a trusted organisation at the heart of our communities, we recognise the important role we can play in supporting the public, patients, our own people, and local partners in achieving the best of health for the local population and the communities in which they live by providing Exceptional Care Together.
Our fundamental Values of Compassion, Openness, and Excellence underpin how we intend to work as a Trust and the associated behaviours are becoming embedded in all aspects of how we work.
In return, we will offer:
* Development opportunities, including both professional and leadership development
* On-going support through every step of the way from recruitment to when you join our team and beyond
* A variety of other staff benefits including employee assistance programme, discounted gym membership, onsite fitness classes, car schemes
