Summary
Are you looking for a career in Planning and have an analytical approach? Then we have an exciting opportunity for an Inbound Planning Assistant to join our Planning Team. Our Inbound Team are accountable for improving visibility, minimising the commercial impact of delays and facilitating improvements to the flow of all our stock.
What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
* Complete inbound execution to deliver against commercial (Merchandise Planning) intake plan, and provide visibility of reasons for expected and actual miss.
* Ensure risks and issues impacting commercial plan in flow of stock from FOB to warehouse receipt are managed and commercial teams advised.
* Manage freight delays and mitigate commercial impact.
* Provide intake diagnostics compiling a summary of the key drivers of the variance to the agreed intake plan by week/month for each BU/T Dept and communicate this to the relevant teams.
* Support tactical and strategic Department transitions across the UK Network. Working with the Transition, Origin and Commercial teams in ensuring availability is not compromised during such times and adhering to project costs.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
* Knowledge of the fundamentals of Supply Chain Planning (forecasting, planning, logistics operations, sourcing) and Freight and Logistics operations.
* Ability to use Excel/Power BI reports to interpret and analyse data, identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
* An understanding of how Clothing & Home critical paths for new product launches and Buying and Merchandising processes work.
* You will have great interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritise across multiple areas.
* Comfortable liaising with different areas of the business at all levels and very much enjoy working as part of a team.
