Job Description
As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations related to our multi contract fuels business. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all transport activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate the transport of fuels, ensuring sufficient resources are in place.
* Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
* Hold authorised signatory status for airside deliveries.
* Lead the driving teams across the Northeast of England.
* Ability to travel and support remote / satellite depots.
* Monitor and maintain transport budgets and financial reports.
* Coordinate with clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
* Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
* Handle any transport-related emergencies or incidents promptly and effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in transport management, specifically with fuels, gases and hazardous goods.
* Knowledge of airside delivery requirements.
* International CPC.
* Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications.
* Strong IT skills across office and bespoke packages.
