This is a key role in the LSB European Finance team of 20 people, reporting to Head of Financial Control with two direct reports. You will be responsible for monthly management account close, reporting to HQ, general ledger & payables processes and business partnering on functional cost centres. Responsibilities: Team Lead and develop team of 2 providing support and ensuring high levels of engagement Management account close reporting to HQ Lead period plus year-end close processes covering local SAP submission plus European consolidation Manage submission of monthly results in BPC ensuring that Group submission deadlines met Maintain integrity of LSB Europe BPC data ensuring alignment with local books compliance with Group reporting guidance General ledger payable processes Ensure processing of payments of suppliers ensuring paid correctly and on time Oversee regular processing of employee expenses through Concur maintenance of system For all LSB Europe entities ensure appropriate balance sheet reconciliations in place updated on monthly/quarterly basis & reviewed/signed off. Statutory controls Work with and provide support to European Compliance Manager in terms of tax, audit & internal control compliance Build close working relationship with Group accounting team ensuring consistency and alignment on accounting treatment, info provision and reconciliations Work closely with Financial Reporting Manager to ensure the operation of a strong control framework through assessment and testing Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support Planning/functional cost centres Support forecast and budget process as required including functionals Business partner with budget holders providing reporting insight on their cost centres and driving accountability Experience you’ll bring: Qualified accountant Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization Understanding of transactional processing across both general ledger and payables Experience of working with cross functional teams Broad technical experience covering financial accounting, tax, audit and internal controls Proactive in outlook, with experience of accounting close budget processes.
