Find support and case continuity within our practice. The hospital is staffed with 8 Vets, 8 Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Nurses, and a Veterinary Care Assistant. Working alongside the day team, we have qualified Night Nurses who provide 24-hour care of our inpatients. We are also a registered Training Practice for student nurses and a registered EMS centre for student vets from the Langford Veterinary School.
Our support team consists of a Practice Manager committed to customer care, a Reception Manager, 4 receptionists, an Insurance Administrator, Financial Administrator, and Dog Groomer. Based in Portishead, which is an easy commute from Bristol, we are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Vet to join our team in a progressive Tier 3 hospital, with a pride in high clinical standards.
We are well equipped with various diagnostic and clinical tools, including laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasonography, digital radiography (including dental radiography), in-house laboratory, multi-parameter monitoring equipment, and much more!
We have been awarded Gold in the ICC cat-friendly clinic awards and the hospital has separate cat and dog waiting rooms for clients, separate inpatient wards for cats/dogs/isolation, and dedicated consulting times during the week for cat-only appointments.
You will have support from your colleagues and a superb 24-hour nursing team, allowing full clinical freedom and excellent case continuity.
