This school is one of the most reputable in Berkshire, and they have also won many awards recently. We are searching for a motivated IT Support Engineer to join their team in Reading. IT Support Engineer – Overview: You will be primarily responsible for providing the end user helpdesk service, ensuring the school maintains safe, reliable and scalable IT systems that facilitate the school’s academic, pastoral and administrative objectives. You will need a broad experience and range of technical skills to support the end users, ideally within an educational environment. Provide day-to-day support of the school’s ICT resources ensuring that there is adequate provision to meet the needs of the staff and students. Assist the IT Manager and Senior IT Engineer with business-as-usual projects and to take a role in resolving infrastructure related issues. Deploy end user hardware such as desktops, laptops and tablets, cabling, printers, telephones, AV equipment and other peripherals as well as deployment and management of end user software. Support school events and activities, ensuring that IT and AV are available for use when required.
