Sustainable Futures Group (SFG) is excited to be partnering with a well-established and leading Construction and Engineering consultancy in London that is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Retrofit Design Consultant to play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable design and construction.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a range of cutting-edge projects specifically within the UK Social Housing sector, supporting clients to meet energy efficiency and net zero targets through retrofit design services.
The organisation operates globally providing a bespoke, quality focused range of Sustainability services to both the private and public sector with a varied and substantial client base.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading on retrofit design initiatives, focusing on adherence to UK building regulations and creating sustainable, high performance solutions.
2. Designing retrofit solutions that honour the heritage of listed buildings, balancing functionality with conservation requirements.
3. Working closely with engineers, surveyors, and cost experts to blend design plans with technical and budgetary needs.
4. Serving as the main client liaison, managing expectations, updating clients on project statuses, and delivering solutions tailored to client goals.
5. Applying PAS 2035 standards throughout retrofit projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and leveraging PasHUB knowledge when beneficial.
6. Emphasising sustainable materials and design approaches to support decarbonisation efforts, mindful of funding opportunities and policy considerations.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Demonstrable experience in retrofit design post-qualification working across residential / Social Housing projects.
2. An Architectural background and qualification recognised in the UK.
3. Expertise in modelling software such as Revit and Nexus Suite.
4. Demonstrated success working collaboratively with diverse teams, including engineers, building surveyors, and financial consultants.
5. A comprehensive understanding of UK building regulations, with proven experience in achieving compliance within retrofit projects.

1. A competitive basic salary of between £60,000 - £75,000 depending on experience.
