Overview:
Our client, a leading manufacturer with distribution centres throughout the UK are currently seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager to operate in the London & South East Region.
This role will predominantly operate in the Project market sector, however there will also be a requirement for the Business Development Manager to be able to competently and effectively offer support and guidance within the full range of the business’s targeted products and scope.

Responsibilities:
• Develop specification opportunities for the full product portfolio within your assigned accounts.
• Work with the Group Projects Director and other Senior Commercial Team Managers to devise and implement the company’s sales strategy within your assigned accounts.
• Increase business opportunities by developing new accounts in existing and new segments.
Skills/experience:
• Experience of developing new business opportunities in the UK building services, construction and mechanical and electrical marketplace.
• Experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Developed list of contacts and relationships amongst Tier 1 Mechanical and Electrical Contractors in the London / SE region.
• Able to persuade and influence others to achieve a desirable outcome.
• Flexible to travel for group meetings and trade shows and to relevant depot locations.
• Experience of working within a technical environment or the ability to demonstrate an understanding of technical issues and presenting technical and commercial content to customers and prospects would also be desirable.
