Role: Solutions Analyst
Rate: Inside IR35
Location: 2 days a week onsite in Sheffield
Duration: 6 months +
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review requirement and provide inputs to BA capturing requirement, i.e., requirement scoping clarification.
2. Participate in the technical design and prepare solution proposal for Cards work stream.
3. Work closely with Cards Architect or other domain Architect to align cards solution with architecture framework. Collaborate with other solution analysts/SMEs including retail product IT application teams, Infrastructure, Data, Digital, Risk, Security, and Software to align the solution.
4. Own the cards solution and act as a solution funnel to discuss with IT teams involved.
5. Plan and create solution proposals; sequence diagrams; maintain interface tracker to answer business requirements and ensure solution compliance with agreed architecture.
6. Participate in business discussions along with BA to clarify requirement scope and explain the solution to business.
7. Act as a bridge between cross-functional IT teams, resolving conflicts and ensuring alignment.
8. Technically lead the development team to ensure successful delivery to the highest quality and drive adoption of best practices.
9. Identify functional and technical dependencies across propositions, teams, and platforms.
10. Identify risks and issues, and highlight to Cards Programmer as applicable, suggesting a mitigation plan.
11. Cover all stages of card processing, including Issuing, Authorization & Settlement, with knowledge and experience of Industry Standards.
12. Produce Solution Proposals for projects.
13. Review designs produced by Engineering teams using guidance and patterns provided by Architecture.
14. Validate that solutions align with the strategies of the Bank (e.g., Retail & Corporate Cards & Group).
15. Work with the engineering community to deliver solutions primarily in an agile way.
16. Utilize domain-driven design, with working knowledge of Software Architecture.
17. Define API & microservice architecture solutions.
18. Document As-Is & Target Architecture, defining services & integrated applications while working with stakeholders to define and deliver strategic objectives & roadmaps.
19. Drive and lead change by creating practical, workable architectures aligned to IT principles and following appropriate governance.
20. Communicate concepts effectively and influence a diverse set of stakeholders and colleagues.
21. Plan and organize projects, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a flexible 'can do' attitude with a strong sense of initiative and ability to learn fast.
