About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing costs and ensuring financial success of projects at a Main Contractor based in Hertfordshire. You will be working across a range of projects and sectors including education, health care, commercial, leisure and residential. This opportunity gives you a chance to increase your exposure in the construction industry and expand your experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
Key Responsibilities for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
1. Looking after subcontractor payments and managing the full downstream process
2. Assisting in preparing and monitoring cost estimations
3. Support the preparation of tenders and bids
4. Helping with the administration of contracts
Key Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying
2. 2+ years experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at a Main Contractor
3. Ability to analyse data, have a high level of attention to detail, and strong IT skills
4. Knowledge of JCT contracts
